17-Year-Old Murder Suspect Injured In Early Morning Shooting, Police Say

An arrest warrant has been issued for 17-year-old Donquanyay Lucas, and police believe he shot a man who died on the way to the hospital last month.

Tulsa Police said the man injured in a shooting early this morning is also wanted on murder charges for a deadly shooting last month.

Police said 17-year-old Donquanyay Lucas was injured when two people started shooting at each other near 5th and Sheridan.

Several bullets from that shooting went into a house that had children in it, but nobody inside was hurt.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Lucas, for a deadly shooting that happened last month near Apache and Harvard.

Police said they believe Lucas shot Donovan Wimberly near Apache and Harvard on June 14. Wimberly died on the way to the hospital.

Lucas is still in the hospital and police said he'll be booked into jail after he's released.

Lucas faces a first-degree murder charge and a gun charge.
