Owasso Community Invited To Attend Funeral For 28-Year OPD Veteran

The Owasso community is invited to attend the funeral for an officer who died of COVID-19 complications

The Owasso community is invited to attend the funeral for an officer who died of COVID-19 complications. Officer Edgar “Buddy” Pales was a 28-year veteran of the police department, serving as a K9 and school resource officer in his career.

The Owasso Police Department said Pales died on Sunday afternoon. This week, his car was parked outside of police headquarters and decorated by people in the community.

Many left flowers, flags, toys, balloons and posters on Pales’ car, thanking him for his service. Everyone is encouraged to line up along the route of the procession at 9:30 a.m. on Friday morning.

It will start at Mowery’s Funeral Home and end at First Baptist Church, the site of the service. Owasso Police said a live stream of the funeral will also be available.
