Tulsa’s Gathering Place, Shawnee Coffee Shop Settle Lawsuit Over Name Rights

Tulsa’s Gathering Place park and a Shawnee coffee shop have agreed to settle a lawsuit the park filed because they both have the same name.

Gathering Place park wanted to take back the rights to the name but also wanted the coffee shop to pay damages, claiming customer confusion.

A joint statement released by Bayly Coffee, the coffee shop that uses the name The Gathering Place, and Tulsa’s Gathering Place park said they have agreed the coffee shop will license the use of the Gathering Place trademarks from the park.
