Tulsa police have identified the victim killed in a fatal shooting on Saturday night.

Police identified the victim as 51-year-old Richard Wameling.

The Tulsa Police Department confirmed that one man died after a shooting at a home near Pine and Lewis Saturday night.

Captain Jeremy Nolan said the victim, whose name has not been released, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and that officers are searching for a suspect.

Nolan said police were dispatched to the area just before 7 p.m. to respond to a shots fired and pointing of a deadly weapon call.

Officers said the roommate of the victim is cooperating with police.

Police are asking everyone to avoid the area so detectives can investigate the homicide. One person has been arrested for trying to cross the crime tape.
