It’s day two of the Major League Fishing REDCREST Championship. 41 of the world’s best anglers are back out on the lake competing for the $300,000 grand prize.
The Major League Fishing Headquarters, which is based in Tulsa, has been trying to bring this championship to Grand Lake for several years, but weather conditions like ice and flooding caused it to be moved.
But this year, it looks like conditions on the lake are good for the anglers to get out on the water and chase their next catch.
There are three Oklahomans in the field, Edwin Evers, James Elam, and Zack Birge.
Starting Friday, the field will be cut to 20 anglers, then cut again, with only 10 competing on championship Sunday.
