Several thousand people are expected to visit the Major League Fishing REDCREST Outdoor Exo this weekend at the Tulsa Fairgrounds. MLF expects the event to bring several million dollars to Tulsa's economy.

The 41 pro anglers are having fun fishing at Grand Lake all week, but the expo is where the fun for fans will be. You'll be able to meet all the pro anglers, watch the action live and win some big prizes.

The set up is just about finished for the three day expo, with more than 130 exhibitors. MLF is headquartered in Tulsa, making this weeks event special.

"We are basically in the center of the country, it is a great hub to begin with, there's so many fantastic fisheries all around the area, of course Grand Lake being one of the best in the nation. It is just the right time, the right place, the right everything, to have Redcrest as our kickoff event be right her in Tulsa,” said Michael Mulone with Major League Fishing.

Mulone is the Vice President of Business Partnerships for MLF and is in charge of picking locations and planning events. He said it helps when one of the top guys in the sport lives in Green Country, Edwin Evers.

"He's just a great ambassador to the sport. He gets what we want to do to try to grow the sport, because if we can grow the sport now, it helps for generations to come,” said Mulone.

Pro anglers will be at the expo each day teaching seminars and people can watch the MLF live broadcast. Mulone said he wants the expo to attract people who may not know much about fishing.

"Really what we want to accomplish with it, in growing the sport, is bring people who are not familiar with fishing to come to the expo and learn about it, learn about our sport, learn about the game play and meet the best anglers in the world," said Mulone.

Mulone said they have about 6,000 people already here, working the expo. It will be a big weekend for Tulsa. The expo starts tomorrow, March 25 at 10 a.m. and it is it is free to get in.
