A student, who claimed her right to free speech was violated five years ago, is getting $90,000 in a settlement from a federal lawsuit.

A student at Klein Oak High in Texas said she was ridiculed for not standing or participating in the Pledge of Allegiance.

The case didn't make it to trial.
