The Oklahoma City Fire Department said it pulled a person from a canal in downtown Oklahoma City.

The person was found on Wanda Jackson Way between Oklahoma Avenue and Mickey Mantle Drive, just west of the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

When they arrived on scene, first responders began performing CPR on the person. The person was taken to a nearby hospital via EMSA ambulance.

According to OCFD, the victim fell into the canal about 45 minutes before the call came out. The man then fell into the canal a second time. That is when police performed CPR on the victim and he was transported.

Officials believe a language barrier could have played a factor in the incident.

This is a developing story.
