Friends and loved ones are remembering a metro woman killed in a car crash last week.

Amanda Clodfelter was more than the director of a daycare center in Oklahoma City.

According to her church family, she was an incredible mother, friend and messenger of God.

“She made a huge impact here, she’s a very expressive worshiper, she was like a cheerleader, she would say come on guys let’s worship, let’s get in the river,” said Frontline Ministry Pastor Debbie Burpo.

Friday, Clodfelter and her daughter were driving near Highway 3 and Cimarron Rd when they got in the crash.

“They had received a call, they were headed to the accident site and just asked that we begin praying, that Mandy and Jayla had been in a tragic accident,” said Burpo.

Despite their prayers, Clodfelter died from her injuries. Her 8-year-old daughter survived the wreck.

“She was a very involved mother, her kids didn’t go anywhere unless she went along, she was an amazing mother,” said Burpo.

In Clodfelter’s honor, a thin yellow ribbon marks her microphone at the church. Burpo said while she is no longer physically here, her spirt will live on with them.

“She served with such a passion and love and that is not the norm today,” said Burpo.

Clodfelter leaves behind her daughter and a 18-year-old son.

“I know that Mandy would be blessed to know we are taking care of her family. If she can cheer us on from there which she can, I believe she is doing that,” said Burpo.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. If you would like to help the family with expenses, follow this link.
