Bavarian Nordic Creating Vaccines To Combat Monkeypox Cases

Bavarian Nordic is creating vaccines that governments hope will bring an end to the global surge in monkeypox cases.

Creators said this vaccine uses a weakened form of the virus to cause a less harmful form of the virus.

The CDC said smallpox and monkeypox vaccines are effective at protecting people against monkeypox when given before exposure to the virus. 

The U.S. has ordered more than two million doses of the drug.
