Edmond Collects On Vacation Home Tax

Edmond is seeing how much money it's now getting from a tax on vacation homes.

Officials approved extending the city's lodging tax to Airbnb and VRBO renters about a year ago, and it's the same tax that applies to hotels.

The lodging tax brought in $650,000 over the past year, around a $150,000 more than the previous year.
