NHTSA, Deadly Crashes On The Rise

The National Highway Traffic Safety Agency said it estimates more than 9,500 people died in wrecks within the first four months of 2022.

This is 7% more than last year, and the highest number in two decades.

The NHTSA says one-third of crashes are because of impaired driving.
