The News On 6 team is in the Air Comfort Solutions Kitchen with Candace Conley from The Girl Can Cook! studio in Broken Arrow.

On Tuesday, Candace shared a recipe for 1-pot American Goulash.

Ingredients:

  1. 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  2. 1 tbsp olive oil
  3. 1 cup bell peppers, any color or mix of colors, seeded and diced
  4. 1 small onion diced
  5. 1 tsp garlic, minced
  6. 15 oz can tomato sauce
  7. 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes
  8. 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  9. Kosher salt and ground black pepper, to taste
  10. 8 oz favorite short pasta, cooked according to package instructions

Directions:

Set the sauté pan to medium-high heat and add ground meat, diced bell peppers and onion. Cook until ground meat is browned, and peppers and onions are soft, about 10 minutes. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute.

Stir in cooked pasta, tomato sauce, tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, and salt to taste.

*Only add enough pasta for what will be served. Reserve sauce in a separate container without pasta. It can be refrigerated for up to a week or frozen for a month. Make fresh pasta for serving each time.

Recipe can be easily doubled.
