A new program will bring some of the services of City Hall into neighborhoods around Tulsa. They’re hosting a series of events called ‘City Hall on the Go.’

Tulsa’s Chief Resilience Officer Krystal Reyes organized the first event at the Tulsa Fire Station 17.

"We're trying to make things a little bit easier,” Reyes said.

Captain Bryan Runyan talked to people about fire safety and said the best way to help people in the community is by getting to know them.

“When we can open our doors to the community and come in and get information and resources that may help them in their day to day, we're always willing to partner and help,” Runyan said.

The goal of this program is to help people with limited access to transportation by connecting them with resources.

"So here, you could actually talk to a few of our HR representatives and apply for a city job. And our customer care can look up reports for you and eventually we are going to do more services that you would actually have to call or go down to city hall, for like with your water bill. So that's coming in 2023,” Reyes said.

Organizers hope to offer more resources soon, including a mobile unit.
