More Children Ending Up In Emergency Rooms For Mental Health Crises, Study Shows

A new study is showing that more children are ending up in emergency rooms for mental health crises.

A study in Jama Pediatrics tracked more than 200,000 children seen at hospitals from 2015 to 2020. 

It found emergency room visits for mental health increased by eight percent annually. 

Thirteen percent of patients revisited the hospital within six months.
