USDA Program Helps Students Learn More About Food Origins

A new federal program is giving students more access to nutritious, locally grown foods.

The "Local Food for Schools Program" will help students learn more about where their food comes from, and also help increase markets for local farmers and ranchers

Districts that apply will be eligible for up to $5,000.

The deadline to apply is May 1.
