UPDATE: Former Marijuana Grow Business Owner Will Not Face Prison Time For Shooting Death Of Alleged Burglar

A man convicted in the shooting death of a suspected burglar has been sentenced to probation.

Investigators said LaRue Bratcher shot and killed Daniel Hardwick after Hardwick attempted to break into Bratcher's marijuana grow warehouse, which Bratcher did not have a license for.

Bratcher entered an Alford plea on four of the five counts, including first-degree manslaughter.

An Alford plea means the person charged admits that the evidence would likely find them guilty if presented to a jury, but still maintains their innocence.

Bratcher was sentenced to several 10-year sentences that will run at the same time.
