A man is in custody after Oklahoma City Police said he shot a Taco Bell security guard in the leg Sunday evening.
Police said the shooting happened at the Taco Bell near W. Sheridan and S. Classen.
The security guard, who was hired by Taco Bell, was shot with his own weapon when an adult male suspect, Shamond Ellis, 36, took it while the guard was in an altercation with another individual, police say.
Authorities confirmed the guard was hit in the leg and transferred to a hospital.
Officers in the area located the suspect after interviews with witnesses on scene and surveillance footage.
The male suspect and the weapon are both in police custody, police say.
Shamond was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on the complaints of shooting with intent to kill and assault and battery.
This is a developing story, stay tuned for updates.
