Suspect Accused Of Deadly Tulsa Hit & Run On 53-Year-Old Man Arrested

A man accused of running over and killing another man on a Tulsa sidewalk near 61st and Lewis on Saturday has been arrested, police announced Monday.

The Tulsa Police Department says Marlon Evans was seen driving on 61st St. around 2:30 p.m., where witnesses reported Evans veering off the road and hitting a pedestrian on the sidewalk without ever stopping to help the victim, identified as 53-year-old Michael Cobb.

Cobb died shortly after the hit and run, police say.

TPD says witnesses at the scene were able to provide details about Evans and he was located minutes later near 6700 S. Zunis.

His charges include first-degree manslaughter after conviction of a felony, leaving the scene of an accident, driving on the sidewalk and driving without a license or insurance.

Tulsa Police say this is an arrest, not a conviction.
