Thunder's Jalen Williams Named Western Conference Rookie Of The Month

The Oklahoma City Thunder player Jalen Williams has been named Western Conference Rookie of the Month, the NBA announced Tuesday.

"Williams appeared in 18 games (all starts) and averaged 18.7 points on a team-leading 54.7 percent shooting, 5.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.67 steals in 33.7 minutes per game in March and April. His points, assists and steals led all Western Conference rookies, while his rebounds were tied for fourth among conference rookies," the OKC Thunder said in a press release. "He scored a career-high 32 points in the Thunder’s 129-119 win over the Utah Jazz on March 5, and tallied 20-plus points in nine of his 18 games."

Williams has now been Western Conference Rookie of the Month twice, making him the third Thunder player to receive multiple Rookie of the Month awards.
