Oakdale Residents Resist Development Proposal

A northwest Oklahoma City neighborhood will have to wait two more weeks to find out if the property near their homes will be rezoned.

Families in the Oakdale area told News 9 they're concerned about a proposal to build more than 600 homes near North Sooner Road and East Britton Road.

Homeowners believe it could impact their drinking water as well as the local school district. 

The Oakdale District currently serves around 800 students. 

The vote was delayed again Tuesday morning and is now scheduled for a vote on May 9th.
