Keilahn Harris, an NCAA Division II All-American for the Bisons, played in 11 games this season and led the Great American Conference in receptions per game.
Harris said he was ready to chase his dream.
“I was already getting looks from scouts in the NFL,” Harris said.” I felt it was my time to come out and talk to my family, talk to my coaches and see what I can do.”
NFL scouts said they were looking past Harris’ stature and OBU’s Division II status.
“They love my tape, they love the way I play and they don’t want me to get discouraged just because I’m a small kid,” Harris said. “As long as you put that work in and you grind, stay focused, stay patient and let God take care of it, it’s [going to] come.”
Harris said he credits his mother and the hard work she put in helping him attain his dream.
