1 Dead After NW Oklahoma City Assault; Suspect Arrested

One person is dead after an assault that happened on Thursday in northwest Oklahoma City, according to Oklahoma City Police.

Police said they responded to a disturbance at around 2:48 p.m. near North Virginia Avenue and Northwest 9th Street.

Investigators learned that several individuals were involved in an altercation.

The victim, Maalik Carter, 24, was attacked with a knife and later died at the hospital.

Police arrested Algernon Reed after an interview and booked him into the  Oklahoma County Detention Center on a murder complaint.
