The video was so brutal that the officer's family said on social media they refused to watch the footage. Sergeant Morgan Reynolds was released on Monday from the hospital, according to police officials. Reynolds was left with severe injuries to her face and body that will take months to heal.

Three calls to police made last Thursday all came from the same northwest Oklahoma City apartment.
A woman reported her boyfriend DeAngelo Wright, 26, was intoxicated, allegedly strangled her and was starting fights with her friends.
Officer Morgan Reynolds arrived alone to the third domestic-related call.

During a pat down, Wright turned violent and started throwing punches.
“He turned on the officer and began to violently attack her,” Captain Valerie Littlejohn with the Oklahoma City Police Department said. “Hitting her and causing her to go unconscious.”
Wright's girlfriend and a man attempted to stop the brutal attack, but the assault suspect turned on them.
“That suspect then turned to the witness and attacked the witness and ended up fleeing the scene prior to the other officers arriving,” Littlejohn said.
Officers later found Wright hiding in a nearby apartment complex laundry room.
The unconscious officer was rushed to the hospital. The officer’s mother noted in a Facebook post that “her body is damaged” and that Reynolds underwent surgery over the weekend.
Court documents indicated Reynolds suffered a possible skull fracture, orbital fracture, concussion, fractured jaw and several broken teeth.
Wright is currently in custody at the Oklahoma County Detention Center on a $10,000,000 bond. He faces charges of aggravated assault on an officer, domestic assault and battery by strangulation and disrupting an emergency phone call.
