57-Year-Old Killed In NW Oklahoma City Shooting; Suspect Arrested

A 57-year-old man was shot and killed Monday night in northwest Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma City Police responded to the scene at around 8:53 p.m. near West Wilshire Boulevard and North Council Road.

Once police arrived on scene, the found Lawson Gratts, 57, who appeared to have been shot to death, according to police.

The suspect, Treveon Grant, 22, was taken into custody on scene.

Investigators learned that Gratts and Grant's mother were in a relationship at the time.

Police said the couple was arguing that escalated to a physical altercation.

Grant then armed himself with a pistol before shooting and killing Gratts, according to police.

Grant was booked on a second-degree murder complaint.
