A Guthrie business owner has been arrested and is accused of intending to distribute a controlled dangerous substance.
Guthrie Police said Manjit Hayer, 58, the owner of the Jeet Mart near West Noble Avenue and North 10th Street, was arrested on Monday after officers served a search warrant.
Police said Hayer has been charged with felony possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute.
According to Guthrie Police, Hayer has a criminal history. In 2021, Hayer pleaded guilty to nine charges including seven counts of trafficking food stamps and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
An investigation into the distribution at the store is ongoing, according to police.
