Some golfers at Webster High School got the experience of a lifetime Friday — with a VIP experience and a chance to ask questions to their favorite players.

The high schoolers got the full VIP experience: merchandise from the Smash GC team, a front-row seat to practice, and even one on ones with their favorite players. They said it’s an experience they’ll never forget. Students on the Webster High School golf team asked Brooks Koepka about everything from his brother and fellow teammate Chase, to Brooks’ best golf tips, and what it’s like getting all the media attention.

"I got so many questions for you guys, like how I practice, my swing, my putt, my chipping," said 10th grader Ciara McIntosh. "I can ask them anything and they give me life tips for it.”

Students Ciara McIntosh and Matthew Reynolds couldn’t believe it when their coach told them the Daniel Webster High team would be getting the VIP treatment at LIV golf through the Smash GC team.

"It’s been good-- I went to the game village and that got me hyped," Ciara said. "I got to represent Smash right here the shirt and the hat. It's all the swag there -- I’m excited.”

“Our coach came to us about it a couple of weeks ago," said 10th grader Matthew Reynolds. "It was like a whoa, a shocker, because these are like celebrities to us these are big guys.”

"It means a lot for the team," said Coach Kirk Baker. "Most of these kids are first- or second-year players and to come to an event like this-- they’ve never done this before.”

Coach Kirk Baker said his group of kids are smart— kind— and getting better at golf by the day.

"The kids have improved from shooting in the 130s to the low 100s.”

With their new knowledge from the golfers here, students are ready to keep that momentum flying.

“They are not the greatest golf team in Oklahoma, but they are the greatest kids on a golf team in Oklahoma," said Baker.

Some of those students said they want to play in college and even professionally, so this was something they’ll cherish
