8 - The lottery is in, and the Oklahoma City Thunder will pick 12th in this year's NBA Draft. OKC also has the 37th and 50th picks in the second round. The draft is set for June 22nd.
7 - The Special Olympics State Games kick off today in Stillwater Right now members of the Law Enforcement Torch Run are running the ceremonial eternal flame from Oklahoma City up to the Gallagher Iba. Events run through the weekend.
6 - Shawnee Police arrested a man accused of stealing from a resident who had just lost everything in the April 19th EF-2 tornado. Police booked David Teater on burglary and stolen property complaints.
5 - Oklahoma Sen. James Lankford joins a group of lawmakers calling for legislation regulating artificial intelligence like Chat GPT. He told Washington Bureau Chief Alex Cameron he wants to protect the privacy of individuals using AI.
4 - The Attorney General has charged Dr. Alexander Frank and pharmacist Justin Lee for mis-prescribing a drug. The second-degree manslaughter charges come after the AG says a 75-year-old woman died after being over prescribed.
3 - Luther Police say they're looking for a man who possibly attempted to lure away middle school children. Police say they're looking for an older white male driving a dark silver GMC Acadia.
2 - Norman Police say four toddlers are safe after wandering away from the Bright Start Daycare Center. Police say the toddlers ran across several lanes of traffic just before noon yesterday.
1 - The legislative wheels are turning at the state capitol -- but a little behind schedule. Lawmakers say they'll going into a special session beginning today to give them extra time to complete the state budget.
This week leaders announced a major agreement on education but other topics like tax cuts and the budget remain unsettled ahead of next Friday's deadline.
