Breaking News Update 4:30 a.m. 5/18/23:
Officials from Oklahoma Natural Gas (ONG) say they have repaired a gas leak near East 31st Street and South Yale Avenue on Thursday morning.
ONG says it got a call about an odor in the area on Wednesday evening. Yale was closed in both directions at 31st while crews investigated.
Three buildings in the area were also evacuated as a safety precaution.
Currently, it is unclear what caused the leak.

Emergency crews are on the scene of a possible gas leak Wednesday night near East 31st Street and South Yale Avenue.
Northbound Yale is closed for one block, from 3200 to 31st Street, police said.
The Tulsa Fire Department, ONG and several other emergency response vehicles are at the scene.
Oklahoma Natural Gas sent us this statement: "Oklahoma Natural Gas crews are responding to an odor report at 3135 S. Yale Ave. in Tulsa. Three buildings in the area have been evacuated as a safety precaution while our technicians survey and monitor the site. Safety is our highest priority, and we encourage motorists to avoid the area. North and Southbound lanes from 31st to 32nd are closed while we work to resolve the issue."
