Friends and family are remembering a woman who was killed in a crash involving a semi on Highway 412.

Jeanine Proctor was a teacher, a mentor, and a friend to many people in the town of Cleveland.
Jeanine’s best friend said Jeanine was someone who made people feel special.
She touched the lives of hundreds of kids in her community and her death is a huge loss to the community.
Georgina Weldon said Jeanine was her best friend and they could talk for hours about anything.
“Meeting her, she just gives you that vibe of a genuinely great person," said Georgina. "You can have a conversation about any and everything.”
Jeanine was a mother of three boys, Kaden, Hunter and Graeson, and had a loving husband, Jereme.
She was passionate about kids and was a teacher’s aid and food service worker at Cleveland Middle School.
She was the go-to person for all things Cleveland area soccer club.
“She was on the soccer board. She does everything for these kids," Georgina said. "She makes sure they have everything they need, to the coaches and the kids.”
Georgina said Jeanine had a giving heart and made every kid feel loved.
“To make each kid feel special and have that relationship with them, she developed, she was very special,” she said.
Jeanine died after a crash Tuesday afternoon on Highway 412. Her car hit the back of a semi carrying sand and troopers are still investigating what happened.
“Everyone’s pulling together and being there for each other and trying to be strong and help our kids get through this," said Georgina.
Cleveland Public Schools Statement: "We are saddened to receive the news of the passing of a beloved member of our Tiger Family. Mrs. Proctor was a long time teacher's aid and food service worker at our middle school. In her years of service she embodied what unconditional love for students looks like. In the most difficult circumstances she brought peace and joy onto our campus. Her laugh and beaming smile would brighten any room. Our thoughts, prayers, and love go out to the family and friends. Thank you, for sharing a sweet soul and beautiful spirit with our Tiger Family.
Statement from Special Education Coworkers at Cleveland Middle School; Beverly Kinman, Melanie McKinney, Rachel Williams: "Jeanine treated all of her students like her own. She was compassionate towards everyone, especially the special needs students she worked closely with. She had a great sense of humor and could turn a bad day into a good one. Jeanine brought joy to Cleveland Middle School, and we will miss her more than words can say."
Statement from Kaylee Brimmer, Vice President Cleveland Area Soccer Club: "We are very saddened by the loss of our dear friend and longtime board member, Jeanine Proctor. She was a huge part of not only the Cleveland Area Soccer Club, but the school and community as well. She will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family."
