A parking lot confrontation involving a gun on Thursday in northwest Oklahoma City was caught on camera. Police arrested 38-year-old Theresa Bensinger at her home and searched her car for the weapon allegedly used to threaten the victims.

Police were called to the shopping center at Northwest 122nd and Rockwell just before 8 p.m. shortly after the road rage suspect left. One witness sent News 9 a phone video of the incident.

“There were numerous bystanders, numerous witnesses that began yelling at her to just leave,” said Msgt. Gary Knight, Oklahoma City Police Department.

The victims told police they were driving through the parking lot when for unknown reasons a white car drove straight at them. Witnesses watched the confrontation unfold from inside stores. A witness could be heard on video confirming Bensinger had a gun and pulled it on the victims.

“It started with her driving recklessly through a parking lot and at some point, words were exchanged and she pulled out a gun,” said Knight.

The victims and witnesses wrote down the suspect's tag and noted she had a "baby on board" bumper sticker. Police say the information led them to Bensinger’s home not far from the shopping center.

“Officers drove out to that address that the tag checked to,” said Knight. “Found the female there.”

Police said Bensinger resisted arrest and refused to speak to officers. According to the police report, Bensinger opened up during the ride to jail saying, "she did have a firearm in the vehicle, but she has a right to defend herself." She also told the officer the gun was "unloaded and the safety was on." Bensinger went on to tell the officer she was at the shopping center to buy alcohol.

Bensinger was booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on one complaint of pointing a firearm and assault and battery. Her bond was set at $30,000.
