A McAlester woman has died after a crash along OK-31 in Pittsburg County on Tuesday evening, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) Troopers.

Troopers say 61-year-old Glenda Gibson was traveling westbound along OK-31, just west of Quinton, when she hit a deer in the road. Troopers say Gibson then drove off the left side of the road before eventually hitting an embankment.

Troopers say she was then ejected from her vehicle, which rolled over and came to rest on its side.

Emergency crews pronounced Gibson dead on the scene from injuries she sustained in the crash.

Troopers say Gibson was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Troopers say nobody else was involved in the crash.
