Tulsa Oilers Football, a proud member of the IFL, supplies depth at the quarterback position and defensive line prior to their home matchup against the Iowa Barnstormers.
Kaleb Lowe hails from Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama. The Frisco, Texas native took his talents to the CIF, where he played the 2022-23 season with the Rapid City Marshals. The new Tulsa offensive piece played in two games with Rapid City, throwing for 57 yards, one touchdown, averaging eight yards per completion. The 6’5, 205 lbs. quarterback is the second QB in Oilers’ history to be signed from the Rapid City Marshals, with the first being Bobby Froehlich during the offseason.
Zion Farmer was a transfer from Tiffin University to Arkansas Pine Bluff, where he played his college career. The former Golden Lion contributed 59 tackles in 26 career games, as well as registering 1.5 sacks and one interception. The 6’0, 270 lbs. lineman is a native of Winchester, Arkansas, and along with Lowe, joined the Oilers’ practice routine this week prior to Week Thirteen.
To make room for these new additions, Tulsa has released QB Vincent Espinoza and DL Eric Sadler.
In related news, OL/DL Adrien Hernandez has been removed from STIR and has returned as active.
Lowe will wear #8, while Farmer will wear #44. Tulsa will also see the following jersey number changes:
Jonathan Nance - #8
Adrien Hernandez - #92
Tulsa’s next home game is on June 10, as they face the Iowa Barnstormers at 7:05 p.m. CDT.
