The Oklahoma State Department of Transportation is looking for the public's input on building more electric vehicle charging ports around the state.
The department said Oklahoma will receive about $66 million in federal funds over the next five years for this project.
ODOT said it will then give that money to third-party companies to build and maintain those ports.
"What we're trying to do is reduce range anxiety," ODOT public information officer Bryce Boyer said. "It feels like we have gas stations every few blocks, charging ports for vehicles not quite as common."
