Train Detachment In Norman Causes Brief Road Closure

A train detachment in Norman prompted a road closure late Monday night, a maintenance worker at the scene confirmed to News 9.

The incident happened near Classen Boulevard and Cedar Lane after 10 p.m.

A maintenance worker said that the train detached when it hit a block. Crews will need to close the road near the track to reconnect the train, a process that is not expected to take very long.

There were no reports of any injuries.
