Special Elections Called In Mid-Del School District, Nichols Hills For City, School Improvements

A special election has been called for Nichols Hills and the Mid-Del School District.

The City of Nichols Hills filed a resolution calling for a special election to consider propositions of improving the streets, water system, sanitary sewer system, fire department, technology, Public Works Complex and facilities owned exclusively by the city, parks and traffic control systems.

Other propositions include funding for new police vehicles and public works vehicles and equipment.

The Mid-Del School District filed a resolution calling for a special election to consider propositions of funding for improving the school sites, including an indoor aquatic center project, and acquiring transportation and auxiliary transportation equipment.

Both called for a special election on Oct. 10, 2023.
