Edmond Wendy’s Features Company’s New Next Gen Design

Wendy’s new Next Gen Design is now on full display in Edmond.

The restaurant located near East Waterloo Road and North Sooner Road is one of two locations in the country testing out this new design, which is operated by Meritage Hospitality Group. The other location, operated by Wenspok Companies, is in Great Bend, Kansas.

What’s featured in this new design?

Wendy’s sent the following information about the design on their website:

1. Passthrough mobile and delivery shelving located conveniently for both the crew and digital customers; 
2. Walk-up window with dedicated parking spots for delivery drivers, giving them quick and easy access to orders; 
3. Self-order kiosks to provide customers with a seamless and efficient ordering experience; 
4. Pull ahead spot that allows crew to advance cars forward to eliminate longer wait times at the pick-up window; 
5. Convenience door that opens directly from the back of house, creating quick crew member access to cars in the pull ahead spot. 

How many locations will feature this design?

More than 200 restaurants are planned to open with the new design through 2024.

Why did Wendy’s implement this new design?

The company said they’re using this design to better “reflect the needs of today’s digital ordering preferences.”
