December is here, and while we're gearing up for festive fun and holiday traditions, the weather reminds us that winter is settling in.
For many, last week marked the first freeze of the season, which is unusually late for this time of year.
This week will bring a mix of chilly mornings and milder afternoons.
Good morning, Oklahoma! If you’ve stepped outside, you’ve already felt the chill in the air. Depending on your location, temperatures are starting in the low 30s to mid-40s this morning.
Today will be the warmest of the next 9, with highs in the 60s!
After waking up to those brisk conditions, we’ll see a high of 62°F today.
We are tracking a few showers in southern OK this morning, and rain chances will continue into the afternoon/evening.
North winds move in as a cold front passes by this afternoon. Temperatures will fall into the 20s and 30s tonight.
What is the weather like in Oklahoma for the rest of the week?
Tomorrow's highs will only climb into the low 40s.
The story will be about the wind chill and feel-like temperatures that will remain in the 30s all afternoon.
Friday still looks chilly, though a southerly wind returns.
The weekend promises mild conditions with highs reaching the 60s and possibly 70s before another cold front sweeps in early next week.
