A metro business is broken into, and the suspects are caught on camera. Now, Oklahoma City Police hope someone recognizes the suspects.

This building across from Scissortail Park has been around for about 100 years. It's now the White Moose Studios.

Kelsi Thompson bought the building the same year as the COVID-19 pandemic. “Certainly, it was devastating. It was scary for all small business owners,” Thompson said.

Eventually, they were fully operational as a space for events and photographers to lease. She calls it an ideal location but there are growing pains with the developing area.

“The business was broken into sometime overnight, left in complete disarray, everything was disheveled inside,” Sgt. Dillon Quirk with the Oklahoma City Police Department said.

Thompson said this is the last thing any small business owner wants to happen while recovering from the pandemic.

“It is more time consuming. We don't have the manpower that maybe some of the larger organizations have,” Thompson said.

She shut down for two weeks. “There's no income coming in and that's how we feed our families,” Thompson said.

Thompson said the suspects took a variety of items from office and cleaning supplies, tools and even stripped copper wiring from the AC unit.

“We do see theft of copper quite a bit so it is very valuable,” Sgt. Quirk said.

Police said they even cut a couch open. but one thing that hurt the most is the damage to their props ahead of an anticipated busy holiday season.

“We have like a giant Santa painting that's going to have to be redone. As they were thrashing stuff around, they tore up the painting,” Thompson said.

Police are asking folks to call Crime Stoppers if they have any info or recognize these suspects. Thompson hopes to get justice soon before another small business is hit.

“It is just a massive headache and for a small business owner the amount of time that we are wasting on this unnecessary hiccup is overwhelming honestly,” Thompson said.

Any information can be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 405-235-7300 or online by clicking here.
