1 Dead After Stillwater Multi-Vehicle Crash

One person is dead following a multi-vehicle crash Friday morning in Stillwater, police say.

Marvin Gashwazra, 83, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Stillwater Police.

Gashwazra was travelling northbound on Perkins Road, toward 14th Avenue. A second vehicle was traveling southbound on Perkins. The third vehicle involved, which was pulling a trailer, was also traveling southbound on Perkins.

According to the driver of the second vehicle, Gashwazra crossed the center line and she swerved to avoid hitting him head-on. Gashwazra continued on heading northbound in the southbound lanes, police say, before striking the third vehicle.

Authorities say Gashwazra was not wearing a seatbelt.

The other drivers were treated for minor injuries, Stillwater police say.
