Kansas defeated Oklahoma on Saturday, knocking off the conference's only remaining undefeated member and narrowing the race for a conference title.
Iowa State:
The Cyclones extended their win streak to three after a 30-18 win over Baylor in Waco, propelling Iowa State 5-3 overall, but 4-1 in conference play.
However, the Cyclones still have some of their tougher games ahead, with Kansas, Texas and Kansas State all in November,
They'll return to Ames to welcome the Jayhawks first, who are coming off an upset win over the now No. 10 Oklahoma Sooners.
Kansas:
What a win for the Kansas Jayhawks, being the team's first win over the Sooners since 1997.
Despite an initial 14-0 lead over Oklahoma, the Sooners bounced back, leading 27-26 headed into the fourth quarter.
However, in a game with an astonishing five failed 2-point conversions, anything could happen, as the Jayhawks pulled ahead with two touchdowns to win 38-33.
The Jayhawks will travel to face Iowa State for Week 10.
Kansas State:
In the No. 25 Wildcats' second blowout win of the season, Kansas State dominated Houston on the way to a 41-0 win in Manhattan on Saturday.
Kansas State swept the field on all sides of the ball, totaling 394 total yards (215 yards passing and 170 yards rushing).
Next for the Wildcats, a trip to Austin to face the No. 7 Longhorns.
Oklahoma State:
Having won every game since falling to Iowa State back in late-September, the Cowboys have been determined to show they're not giving up yet.
Totaling 601 yards, Oklahoma State continued to put on a performance as they trounced the Cincinnati Bearcats 45-13 on Saturday, extending their win streak and doing nothing to alleviate the worries of Sooner fans ahead of what may be the last Bedlam football game for the foreseeable future.
As previously mentioned, Bedlam is next up for the Cowboys.
Texas:
BYU and Texas, prior to Saturday, had played five times throughout the two school's histories. Of those five games, BYU won four and was on a two-game win streak, but Texas made sure their sixth matchup would belong to the Longhorns.
Winning 35-6 in Austin, Texas made short work of the Cougars as they continue on a path to the conference championship, unblemished apart from a loss to the Sooners in the Red River Rivalry.
This weekend, the Longhorns welcome Kansas State to Austin at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
West Virginia:
Our final winner this week, the Mountaineers took home a 41-28 win over the UCF Knights, propelling them to 5-3 for the season, and inching the team closer and closer to being bowl-eligible.
Next up, West Virginia will face BYU in Morgantown for Week 10.
Baylor:
After falling to Iowa State, the Baylor Bears continue the search for a win over an exiting conference member. The Bears' only wins in-conference come from newcomers the UCF Knights and the Cincinnati Bearcats.
They'll have their chance when they face Kansas State in two weeks, but before that they'll face the Houston Cougars in Waco for Week 10.
BYU:
Despite a 35-6 loss to Texas, Cougars quarterback Kedon Slovis threw for 197 yards, albeit with two interceptions along the way.
Hopefully, this loss is not what the Cougars will be remembered for this season, and they have a chance to improve when they face West Virginia on Saturday.
UCF:
The Knights haven't won a football game since Sept. 16, and the West Virginia Mountaineers made sure things wouldn't change while they were in Orlando.
Turnovers hurt the Knights significantly, with quarterback John Rhys Plumlee throwing three despite passing for 274 yards.
UCF travels to Cincinnati on Saturday to face the Bearcats, and hopefully they'll return home with a win.
Cincinnati:
Likewise, Cincinnati also underperformed when they faced Oklahoma State, and are currently ranked last in the conference following the 45-13 loss.
The Bearcats welcome UCF on Saturday, with a chance to pull themselves from rock bottom.
Houston:
Following a shutout loss against Kansas State, Houston has joined fellow conference newcomers Cincinnati and UCF at the Big 12's bottom three.
The Cougars travel to Waco to face Baylor on Saturday, who ranks one spot above Houston in conference rankings.
Oklahoma:
Joining the Losers section for the first time this season, missed opportunities and a poor performance are all that stood between Oklahoma and being 8-0 this season.
Unfortunately for the Sooners, Kansas won their first matchup between the two since 1997, and possibly the last with Oklahoma leaving for the Southeastern Conference following this season.
Oklahoma has a chance at redemption however, as the Sooners travel to Stillwater on Saturday for one last Bedlam against Oklahoma State.
TCU and Texas Tech:
The Horned Frogs and the Red Raiders were on a Bye Week for Week 9, but both return to face one another for Week 10.
Both teams suffered losses in Week 8, with TCU's blowout loss to Kansas State and Texas Tech falling short against BYU.
The two teams kick off at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
