2nd Suspect In Custody For October Shooting, String Of Hit-And-Runs In Owasso

Owasso Police have a second suspect in custody from a shooting that led to multiple hit-and-run crashes in October.

According to police documents, Anthony Bernal was taken into custody Saturday afternoon and arrested for shooting with intent to kill and seat belt violations.

On Oct. 19, 2023, Owasso Police said they received several calls around 2:45 p.m. from neighbors in the Double Oakes and Three Lakes Housing additions who heard gunshots.

Police investigated the shooting at 7800 North 129th East Ave. that afternoon.

Officers said at least one person shot at a car inside the neighborhood.

Shortly after, police said they were called for a string of hit and runs; one of the areas was at 78th and 129th.

Another scene was at 76th and 127th, where police said a male suspect got out of the car after wrecking it and ran, but officers took that person into custody shortly after.

The suspect taken into custody was identified as 19-year-old Angel Cano and will be facing the charges for attempted murder, reckless handling of a firearm, felony hit-and-run, child endangerment, and running a stop sign.
