Alan has always enjoyed the uncertainty and awesome power of weather. As a child, he and his sister were often “tucked away in the safe place” during major storms, but this only ignited his passion for the excitement that an intense storm would bring to the area.
He was born and raised in the Tulsa area, graduating from Broken Arrow High School. After attending Oklahoma Christian University, where he majored in marketing and ran track, Alan joined the Tulsa Fire Department. His professional career has been filled with his desire to run towards danger in an effort to minimize damage and protect life. This adrenaline, mixed with his servant’s heart, has led him towards varying committees and duties within the fire department, including service with the Oklahoma Task Force. Alan was able to join the Oklahoma Task Force response to Hurricane Ida and Hurricane Delta.
Alan resides in Bixby with his wife and two children. When he’s not fueling his need for adrenaline or serving the citizens of the Tulsa metropolitan area, Alan can be found supporting his children at their various sporting events, telling dad jokes, or making memories traveling with his family.
