City Of Tulsa Honors Cathy Izzo With Sister City Sign

City Leaders are honoring the coordinator of Tulsa's "Sister City" program, who died from cancer last year.

The directional sign outside City Hall pointing to all of Tulsa's sister cities has been dedicated in memory of Cathy Izzo.

Cathy's family says her work with the Tulsa Global Alliance had an impact that will be felt forever.

"Memories fade, but I think no matter what happens, the sign will be here," her son Anthony Izzo said. "The impact that she had will live on through the generation. Hopefully, people will pass it on through their kids."

Tulsa recently added a ninth sister city in Mwanza, the second-largest city in Tanzania.
