Tulsa Dream Center Gifted Thousands Of Dollars In Gold Coins Through Anonymous Donation

An anonymous letter contains a remarkable gift. 

“Spectacular organization: in the included white envelope, you will find a donation to your organization. There are 4 gold coins worth approximately $8,000,” Marquess Dennis with the Tulsa Dream Center read.

The letter was mailed to them.

“Three other organizations in the area will also get these envelopes, with the same donation and request,” he continued. 

It's a remnant of one man’s legacy.

“These coins come from a great man that recently passed away. He worked his whole life to accumulate these and now the coins can work just as hard for the community,” Dennis read. 

And rather than a letter to Santa...this one was from him. 

“Help the community the best way you can...Santa Clause…wow. It’s treasure! How often do you get treasure sent to you?" he said. 

Dennis says a donation like this is on their wish list, but not something they ever ask for.

“As a nonprofit, part of our job is to ask, but to have somebody give it without the ask, means that we are doing what we’re doing well enough for someone to notice,” he said. 

To get the money, the dream center has to sell the coins. Though he’s not sure what the special gift will be used for, Dennis knows it will be used for good.

“I hope to be able to impact some kids, it's the holiday season, so just being able to get more gifts, provide more opportunities,” he said. 

Dennis says the donation will help them continue to act on their motto: give hope and change lives.

“It’s just one of those things that just adds so many different levels of joy to be able to get a gift like this,” Dennis said.
