The City of Tulsa said several facilities will be opening later Monday, January 22, because of the icy conditions.
The city said both City Hall and all other customer-facing facilities like municipal courts, Tulsa parks, and the Oxley Nature Center will all be opening at noon Monday due to the icy conditions.
If you've been called for jury duty for the Tulsa Municipal Court, you will be excused for Monday, Jan. 22.
If you have a court appearance that was scheduled for the morning of Jan. 22, you're asked to come to court at noon instead. You can also call the court to re-schedule your court date.
The city is also encouraging everyone to do their business online if possible, for things like paying utility bills or tickets.
City crews showed up to work at midnight Monday morning to start treating the roads for the icy conditions.
"We're essential employees and so we're on-call at all times and trying to keep the streets safe and keep the public safe. We ask if they don't have to be on the roads at this time, we ask them to stay at home. And just to remind everyone that drive careful and if you see a unit out there, back off of it and be back about 150 yards," Leon Kraggl with the City of Tulsa said.
In addition to roads, the city is still working on 13 active water breaks across Tulsa.
