Description
The La Scala Salad is a popular salad with garbanzo beans and chopped deli meat.
Ingredients
- 1 head iceberg lettuce rinsed and finely chopped
- 1⁄4 lb talian salami julienned
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 (15 1/2 ounce) can garbanzo beans, rinsed and well-drained
- ⅓ cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 2 tsp dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp salt and pepper
- 1/4 cup grated pecorino romano
- Add 1 cup desired protein
Instructions
- Make Vinaigrette: In a large serving bowl, combine oil, vinegar, mustard, salt and pepper to taste; whisk until well blended.
- Salad: To the bowl, combine lettuces, salami, mozzarella, and garbanzo beans. Toss with vinaigrette to coat well.
