A man in Bluejacket says he's lost everything after a fire destroyed his home.

He's grateful he wasn't hurt, but he's worried about the future and where he's going to live.

Gregg Taff was helping his neighbor take out the trash, when everything changed.

"When I was walking out with the trash fifteen minutes later, I saw smoke coming out of my home, and I thought oh my god, why is my trailer smoking," he said.

He says he had a space heater on in his house.

When he noticed the smoke, he immediately tried to go save whatever he could.

"I ran down here with a wet towel to try and put the fire out, and when I opened the sliding door, it blew up and knocked me into the other mobile home," he said.

Greg has lost everything he owns, including pictures of his mom who has passed away, and about $6,000 worth of radio equipment.

He says he has a number of medical issues and says his only income is his social security.

"That's all I get is social security, I'm disabled, I had open heart surgery, I had open heart surgery when I was a baby, a hole in my heart, a hole in my lungs, and it caused brain damage," he said.

He says this is one of the hardest times he's every been through and feels lost.

"I've never been in this situation, I'm putting my faith in God and just going with the flow, and seeing what God has in store for me," he said.

Greg says he's staying with his neighbor while he waits to figure out what to do next.
