18-Year-Old Man Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash On Highway 412

An 18-year-old man is dead following a crash on Highway 412 late Wednesday night.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Willard Newman, of Tulsa, died at the scene near 218th West Avenue in Tulsa County.

Newman was driving east on the highway before authorities said the fatal crash happened at 10:53 p.m.

Medical personnel declared him dead at the scene, OHP says. Deputies said the seatbelt was not in use by the driver. They said he was pinned in the vehicle for an unknown amount of time.

The cause of the crash and what happened are still under investigation.
