Some businesses in Tulsa say they’re dealing with homeless people harassing employees and customers.
The people at 51st and Memorial in Tulsa’s Fontana Shopping Center say there’s also an increase in vandalism and trash.
The Fontana Shopping Center has a lot of corners and alleys where people can loiter or sleep and that puts the people who work there on edge.
C&J School uniforms Manager Crystal Craig says someone tried to get inside their store by throwing something at its window.
She says it's not a daily occurrence but customers and employees are getting harassed by homeless people, and she says it gets worse in the summer because people ask for water, or to come inside.
She says her main concern is safety for everyone in the area, especially with a daycare right next door.
"You know we hate it, we don't want there to be a homeless issue at all, you know, we hate it that there are homeless people but we have to keep our people safe we have to keep our customers safe, our employees safe, there are kids all over here," Craig said.
Craig says the business did file a police report about the vandalized window but at the time they didn't have cameras, but they do now.
News On 6 contacted Tulsa Police and they said they would research calls in that area.
